Privacy policy
This policy describes the local-only edition of Fuda for iOS and macOS, this support website, and messages sent to support. Fuda is provided by Viktors Sonbergs. Contact: support@sonbergs.com.
Study data stays on your device
The local edition stores decks, card content, imported media, review history, scheduling information, study statistics, and preferences locally on your device. It does not require an account or upload this study data to a Fuda server. Cloud sync, cloud backup, collaboration, and AI generation are not included in this edition.
Fuda does not include advertising or send app-usage analytics or crash reports to the developer in the local edition. Apple may process App Store, device diagnostics, or backup information according to your Apple settings and Apple’s own policies.
Files and notifications
When you choose a file to import, Fuda reads it to add its cards and media to your local library. When you export or share a file, it is saved or passed to the destination you choose. That destination may have its own privacy practices.
Optional study reminders use your device’s local notification system. You can change or withdraw notification permission in system settings.
Support email
If you contact support, we receive your email address, message, and any information or attachments you choose to send. We use this information to respond, investigate the issue, and maintain the security and reliability of support. Please avoid sending sensitive information that is not needed for your request.
Support mail is handled through Namecheap Private Email and the email services involved in delivery. These providers process messages to provide email service. We do not sell support messages or use them for advertising.
This website
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. We do not add analytics scripts, advertising, tracking pixels, or cookies to these pages. Cloudflare processes technical request information, such as IP address, requested URL, browser information, and request time, to deliver and protect the site. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its processing practices.
Following an external link or opening your email application takes you to a service with its own privacy practices. Website hosting and email providers may process information outside your country.
Retention and deletion
Local study data remains in the app’s storage until you remove it. You can delete decks within Fuda; removing all app data may require deleting the app and its stored data using your operating system’s controls. Exported files and device backups are separate copies that you manage through the relevant file or backup service. We cannot remotely access or delete your local study library.
We keep support correspondence only as long as needed to address requests, resolve related issues, and meet applicable legal obligations. You may request deletion of support information by emailing us; information that must be retained by law may be excluded.
Your choices and rights
Where applicable data-protection law provides them, you may request access to, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of personal information we hold, or object to its processing. Contact support@sonbergs.com. These rights do not give us access to study data stored only on your device.
For people in the European Economic Area, we rely on legitimate interests to answer support requests and operate a secure website, and on legal obligations where retention or disclosure is required by law. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority; in Latvia this is the Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija).
Children’s privacy
The local edition has no account registration and does not ask for a user’s age. Please do not include unnecessary personal information about children in support messages. A parent or guardian may contact us about personal information submitted to support.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when relevant practices change and revise the date above. Any future cloud-enabled edition will need privacy information that describes its own data handling.
